Academic Standards (rigor)
|
An institution is not required to lower academic standards, quality, or production standards to make an accommodation. This includes the comprehensive set of learning objectives, technical standards, and demonstrated student learning outcomes a college or university affixes to its courses and programs of study.

Acute Opioid Withdrawal
|
A withdrawal state that may occur as a result of Intranasal Naloxone Administration. This state may be associated with vomiting, agitation, and combativeness.
|
Additional Degree
|
The completion of two master’s degrees earned in two separate graduate degree programs without shared credit. Two separate degrees are awarded and listed on the transcript.
|
Alcohol
|
Any product, including spirits, wine, beer, or other containing one half of one percent or more of alcohol by volume and every consumable liquid or solid containing alcohol.
|
Allowable Cost
|
Those categories of costs that can be charged to a grant or contract, such as salaries, equipment and supplies. Allowable costs vary by funding agency.
|
Alternative Credential
|
A verifiable proof provided upon successful completion of a generally shorter or more concise learning experience that confirms achievement of specific skills, competencies, or learning outcomes. Alternative credentials are meant to add-on to, but not replace, traditional formal education or work skills/knowledge.
|
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
|
This Act prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in employment, transportation, public accommodation, communications, and governmental activities.
|
Appeal
|
A request for reconsideration of a decision made at St. Cloud State University pursuant to university, or Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees policies and procedures.
|
Assembly
|
A group or gathering of individuals whether organized or spontaneous.
|
Background Check (criminal, also referred to as Criminal Background Check)
|
Data obtained in addition to a general background check, for the purpose of reviewing criminal background.
|
Background Check (general)
|
Analysis of public and private documents, contact with former employers, verification with educational institutions or licensing/credentialing boards, information from professional references and other pertinent information.
|
Bulk Email
|
A single email sent to an entire group of people at the same time. Generally this refers to a large target group, an entire population, or sub-group of a larger population.
|
Business Day
|
A day when St. Cloud State University offices are open for business.
|
Calendar Day
|
All days of the month, including weekends and public or posted holidays.
|
Campus Community
|
All students, faculty, staff of St. Cloud State University, and visitors, volunteers, consultants, or other individuals performing services on university property.
|
Cheating
|
Includes, but is not limited to:
a. Use of any unauthorized assistance in taking quizzes, tests, or examinations;
b. Use of resources beyond those authorized by the instructor in writing papers, preparing reports, solving problems, or carrying out other assignments;
c. Acquisition, without permission, of tests or other academic material belonging to a member of the university faculty or staff;
d. Engagement in any behavior specifically prohibited by the instructor in the course syllabus or class discussion.

Collusion
|
Includes, but is not limited to: intentionally or knowingly helping or attempting to help another to commit an act of academic dishonesty. The sale or sharing of academic materials (including one's own work) by any means to other students without the clear authorization of an instructor.
|
Comparable or Equivalent Course
|
A course that meets a standard of comparability of 75% or more similarity in learning outcomes and content using the course outlines, or for a course from outside of the Minnesota State System, a course outline, syllabus, or comparable course description document.
|
Complaint
|
An oral or written claim concerning a college or university issue, including but not limited to alleging improper, unfair, or arbitrary treatment or program quality, compliance with accreditation standards, consumer fraud or deceptive trade practices.
|
Construction Employee
|
Any person employed by a company which is engaged in the construction, renovation, or repair to campus buildings or other facilities.
|
Contract Employee
|
Any person, not a student or employee, who renders on-campus services to St. Cloud State University through the provisions of a contact for services.
|
Contributing Web Editor
|
Campus staff who have limited editing access to make changes and updates to specific websites or areas of the web.
|
Controlled Substances
|
Includes, but is not limited to, any drug, substance or immediate precursor in Schedules I-V of section 152.01 (MN Statutes). This definition includes any synthetic drug, prescription drug not issued to the student, and/or any otherwise lawfully available product used for any purpose other than its intended use.
|
Core Hours
|
The designated period of each workday when generally all agency employees are expected to work.
|
Course
|
A series of lectures or lessons in a particular subject, typically leading to a qualification.
|
Course Outline
|
The course outline is the document approved by the college or university committee to communicate information about system college and university courses. Course outcomes are included within course outlines.
|
Course Syllabus
|
The course syllabus is a document that contains the elements of the corresponding course outline, standards for evaluation of student learning, and additional information which reflects the creative work of the faculty member.
|
Coursework
|
Written or practical work done by a student during a course of study, usually assessed in order to count toward a final mark or grade.
|
Credit
|
A unit of measurement assigned to a college or university course offering or an equivalent learning experience that takes into consideration achieved student learning outcomes and instructional time. For purposes of this policy, this definition will also apply to credits from sources other than colleges and universities.
|
Credit for Prior Learning
|
Academic credit awarded for demonstrated college- and university-level learning gained through learning experiences outside college or university credit-bearing courses and assessed by academically sound and rigorous methods and processes.
|
Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS)
|
An electronic database tool that produces a report available to students reflecting his or her progress toward completion of an academic program.
|
Digital Badge
|
An alternative credential in the form of an icon or image that uses metadata to document and communicate a learning achievement or credential via a digital platform such as social media sites, websites, or email.
|
Direct Cost
|
Clearly identifiable costs related to a specific project. General categories of direct costs include but are not limited to salaries and wages, fringe benefits, supplies, contractual services, travel and communication, equipment, and computer use.
|
Disruptive Activity
|
Obstruction, disruption, or interference with classes, research, events, ceremonies, speakers, performances, meeting rooms, administrative functions, or other university activities.
|
Double Major
|
The completion of two majors earned in one graduate degree program (e.g. two MA, two MS) while an enrolled graduate student. It is not possible to double major within mixed degree types (ie. cannot add an MA major to an MS degree). One degree is awarded with both majors listed on the transcript.
|
Drop
|
Dropping a course before the end of the free add/drop period removes the course from a student’s schedule and it does not appear on a transcript; students are not financially responsible for the course.
|
Drug Intoxication
|
Impaired mental or physical functioning as a result of the use of physiological and/or psychoactive substances, i.e.: euphoria, dysphoria, apathy, sedation, attention impairment.
|
Dual Degree
|
The completion of two master’s degrees earned in two separate graduate degree programs with shared credit. Degrees are earned by completing an approved number of credits in each graduate program and a specified number of joint credits (typically 9-15 graduate credits). Two separate degrees are awarded and listed on the transcript.
|
Duty Day
|
A day included in the academic calendar or individual faculty member's appointment on which a faculty member engages in duties as described in their collective bargaining agreement.
|
Employee
|
Any individual employed by Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, its colleges and universities and the system office, including but not limited to all faculty, staff, administrators, teaching assistants, graduate assistants, residence directors and student employees.
|
Events
|
Activities that include, but are not limited to, official meetings, practices, competitions or trips involving students, registered student organizations, or intercollegiate athletic teams.
|
Exclusions
|
Defined by SCSU’s federally-negotiated rate agreement (issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services), modified total direct costs shall exclude equipment, capital expenditures, charges for patient care, rental costs, tuition remission, scholarships and fellowships, participant support costs and the portion of each subaward in excess of $25,000.
|
F&A Cost
|
Formally referred to as Indirect Costs. F&A (Facilities and Administrative) costs are expenses incurred for common or joint objectives and, therefore, cannot be identified readily and specifically with a particular sponsored project, an instructional activity, or any other institutional activity. Examples of F&A expenses to the University include utilities, library services, research and sponsored programs administration, business (accounting and purchasing) and payroll services, facility maintenance costs, and depreciation or use allowance costs for buildings and equipment.

F&A Cost Rate
|
A rate, expressed as a percentage, established by negotiation with the cognizant federal agency on the basis of the institution's projected costs for the year. The rate is used in computing the dollar amount charged to the grant/contract to reimburse the institution for Facilities and Administration costs incurred in doing the project work. Defined by SCSU’s federally-negotiated rate agreement (issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services), SCSU’s federal rate is applied to modified total direct costs (MTDC) base and a non-federal rate is applied to total direct costs.

F&A Recovery
|
F&A funds collected by the University that are distributed throughout the institution to cover general expenses attributable to a specific project.
|
Fabrication
|
Includes, but is not limited to: intentional or unauthorized falsification or invention of any information or citation in an academic exercise or sponsored activity.
|
Federal Flow-through Funds
|
Awards to SCSU from State of Minnesota agencies, city and county government entities, and other non-federal agencies (including other institutions of higher education) that are funded by federal agencies.
|
Finalist
|
An individual determined to be in the smallest group of candidates for a specific employment position, for example three to five, or fewer.
|
Fire Lane
|
An area specifically designated by sign(s) and/or street markings containing the phrase “Fire Lane.” Fire Lanes are reserved for use by emergency vehicles for emergency access to campus facilities.
|
Five Year Bachelors to Masters (Accelerated) Degree
|
The completion of a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in an accelerated 5-year timeframe. Qualified students complete the bachelor’s degree with 9-13 fewer required semester credits through the completion of comparable graduate level courses during the senior year.
|
Formal Complaint
|
A written claim raised by a student alleging improper, unfair, or arbitrary action by an employee involving application of a specific provision of a college or university rule/regulation or a board policy or procedure. Minnesota State Colleges and Universities defines this as a "Grievance."
|
Fundamental Alteration
|
A change so significant that it alters the program's essential nature, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, activities, or accommodations offered.
|
Goal Area
|
Any of the 10 subdivisions of the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum: (1) Communication, (2) Critical Thinking, (3) Natural Sciences, (4) Mathematical and Logical Reasoning, (5) History, Social and Behavioral Sciences, (6) Humanities and Fine Arts, (7) Human Diversity, (8) Global Perspective, (9) Civic and Ethical Responsibility, and (10) People and the Environment. Each goal area has its own definition and list of competencies. A description of the goal area definitions and competencies can be found in Minnesota State Board Operating Instructions 3.21.1.1.

Guests/Non-Affiliates/Emeriti
|
Any person who is not a student or employee but who may be a visitor.
|
Immobilization (Boot)
|
A locking device applied to one or more wheel of a vehicle so it cannot be moved until enforcement staff removes the device.
|
Interactive Process
|
A collaborative process between a student with a disability, the institution, faculty, and other stakeholders with the goal of determining accommodation. The interactive process may include, but is not limited to, determining purpose and essential functions of a requirement, reviewing limitations, determining effectiveness of accommodations, requesting, and reviewing documentation from a qualified provider that speaks to requestors barriers to major life activities leading to disability, and determining appropriateness of accommodation, etc.

Intranasal Naloxone
|
An opiate receptor antagonist and antidote for opiate overdose produced in intranasal form.
|
Intranasal Naloxone Kit
|
The Intranasal Naloxone Kit used by St. Cloud State University shall be in a clearly marked carry bag and will contain two (2) Narcan Nasal Spray Units (4mg each).
|
Limited Criminal History Check
|
Verification that the selected applicant or employee does not have any undisclosed criminal conviction in the jurisdiction where the applicant or employee currently resides, or where the applicant or employee formerly resided.
|
Limited Sex and Violent Offender Registry Check
|
Verification that the selected applicant or employee is in compliance with any federal, state or local notification or registration requirements related to sex and violent crimes in the jurisdiction where the applicant or employee currently resides, or where the applicant or employee formerly resided.
|
Loading Zone
|
An area specifically designated by sign(s) and/or pavement marking with the phrase “Loading Zone” used to load or unload goods or to pick up or discharge passengers.
|
Maintenance Vehicle
|
A University motor vehicle used primarily to affect repairs and/or maintain campus buildings and facilities.
|
Medical Cannabis/Marijuana
|
Pills, oil or liquid obtained directly from one of two authorized state manufacturers accompanied by required packaging and labeling used to alleviate suffering from certain qualifying conditions.
|
Military Courses
|
A curriculum with measurable outcomes and learning assessments that service members are required to successfully complete based on their military occupation.
|
Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC)
|
Curriculum consisting of general education courses and goal area definitions and competencies designed for transfer among Minnesota public colleges and universities.
|
Mobile worker
|
An employee who travels continuously for work or who performs work at multiple locations outside of an agency office, such as a field location or other site.
|
Modified Total Direct Costs (MTDC)
|
Defined by SCSU’s federally-negotiated rate agreement (issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services), the basic indirect costs are calculated on a subset of direct costs, normally excluding among other costs, equipment, space rental, alterations and renovations, and subaward/subcontract costs in excess of the first $25,000.
|
Motorized or Motor Vehicle
|
An automobile (e.g., car, truck, van, etc.), a motorcycle (e.g. motor-driven cycle, scooter, moped, etc.), or any other self-propelled vehicle designed for running on land but not on rails or water.
|
Multimedia materials
|
Multimedia material is material that transmits content in audible and/or visible form.
Include, but are not limited to, materials such as videos, DVDs, films, CD-ROMs, voice recordings, television broadcasts, and web-based presentations.
|
Naloxone Program Coordinator
|
Is the Safety Administrator and/or their specifically identified representative, with documentation and written approval by the Director of Emergency and Risk Management.
|
Nationally Accredited College or University
|
A college or university that is accredited by a national accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
|
Non-potentially Hazardous Foods
|
Foods that do not require heat or refrigeration to retard spoilage in normal serving times. Examples of non-potentially hazardous baked items would include cookies, brownies, non-dairy or non-cream filled baked goods, donuts, or baked products that are made and contained by a licensed producer that are to be dispensed in the original packaging and do not require temperature control.

Off-Campus F&A Cost Rate
|
F&A cost rate for all activities performed in facilities not owned by SCSU and to which rent is directly allocated to the project(s).
|
Opioid Overdose
|
An acute condition including, but not limited to, extreme physical illness, decreased level of consciousness, respiratory depression, coma, or death resulting from the consumption or use of an opiate, or another substance with which an opiate was combined, or that a layperson could reasonably believe to be an opiate-related drug overdose that requires medical assistance.
|
Parking and Transportation
|
A division of the SCSU Public Safety Department responsible for assisting customers with the purchase and distributing of parking permits, receiving parking fine payments, making parking arrangements for on-campus events, and maintaining parking permit records and citations. The department also provides for the maintenance and designation of campus parking facilities.
|
Parking Citation
|
A citation for violation of St. Cloud State University parking regulations and a notice of right to appeal within five business days of the date of violation.
|
Patient
|
A person who may be experiencing an opioid overdose.
|
Pay As You Go Parking
|
Parking spaces included in the parking ramp, visitor pay lots and metered parking.
|
Permanent/principal work location
|
The location to which a position is permanently assigned, usually the agency office.
|
Personal Services
|
Are distinguished from reasonable accommodation and are not provided. A student may choose to acquire and use such services, i.e., individual assistants.
|
PIR - Professor or Instructor of Record
|
The person officially assigned by the University to deliver a course.
|
Plagiarism
|
Includes, but is not limited to: a. Submitting the published or unpublished work of another person as one's own, including paraphrase or direct quotation, without full and clear acknowledgement such as adequate footnotes, quotations, and other reference forms; b. Submitting the work of others as one's own with only minor changes; c. Submitting multiple versions of the same work, written or oral, for more than one course without the permission of the instructor of each class, and/or making minor revisions on work which has received credit and submitting it again as new work; d. Submitting, without acknowledgment, materials prepared by another person or agency engaged in the selling or distribution of term papers, class notes, or other academic materials without the instructor's permission; e. unauthorized distribution or sale of class notes or materials created from the faculty member's intellectual property.

Port Scanning
|
The act of scanning a computer's ports. When done maliciously it is used to identify vulnerabilities or weakened access points in an effort to break into a computer or bypass a firewall.
|
Professionalism
|
Displaying the good judgment and proper behavior that is reasonably expected in the workplace.
|
Protected Data
|
Any data protected by the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Chapter 13, Minn. Stat., or by other applicable state or federal law.
|
Reasonable Accommodation
|
Any change to an educational program, a public environment, or the way things are customarily done that allows an individual with a disability/condition to experience equal access to opportunities available to other individuals in the academic or university environment.
|
Regionally Accredited College or University
|
A college or university that is accredited by a regional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
|
Registered Student Organization
|
Any student organization that has successfully completed the registration process outlined in the Student Organization Guidebook and registers each academic year with the Department of Campus Involvement.
|
Remote workers
|
An employee who, as a condition of their appointment, has their home or alternative location as the assigned work location, works permanently from that location, and does not have an agency permanent/principal work location.
|
ResNet
|
An extension of the campus network, which provides residence halls with access to the Internet.
|
Respect
|
Behavior or communication that demonstrates positive consideration and treats individuals in a manner that a reasonable person would find appropriate.
|
Restriction
|
Any limitation on activity, by statute, regulation, contract or action of an official of St. Cloud State University
|
Retaliation
|
Any form of intimidation, reprisal or harassment against an individual because he or she made a complaint, assisted, or participated in an investigation or process. Retaliation also occurs when one associated with a person or group of persons is intimidated, harassed, or suffers reprisal. Retaliation may occur whether or not there is a power of authority differential between the individuals involved.

Review Committee
|
A group of University professionals knowledgeable on health and student development issues and will usually include, but is not limited to a representative from Student Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Student Disability Services, and Academic Affairs.
|
Scientific Misconduct
|
Includes, but is not limited to: fabrication of data, falsification of data, inappropriate alterations of approved Institutional Review Board (IRB) thesis and doctoral approved procedures and methodology, inappropriate analysis of data, violation of ethical standards regarding human and animal experimentation, falsification of experimental procedures/methods, and other fraudulent actions.

SCSU Food Service Contract Administrator
|
The SCSU position and/or designee charged with the administration and supervision of the Food Services Agreement, the approval of Non-Standard Food Event Authorizations, and education pertaining to the SCSU Campus Food Management policy.
|
SCSU Food Services
|
The current, contracted food service provider for St. Cloud State University.
|
Second Major
|
The completion of a new major earned in one graduate degree program of the same degree type (e.g. an MA or MS) at SCSU after a graduate degree in a different major has already been earned through SCSU. No additional degree is awarded, but the additional major is added to the existing degree on the transcript.

Sell and Serve
|
"Sell and Serve" refers to events in which the event participants pay for alcohol through a cash bar, concessions, or in on-site sales transactions. If the event is a “Sell and Serve” event the University shall not be involved in alcohol related financial transactions on site. University sponsored or coordinated events cannot include alcohol in the ticket price or price of admission.

Serve Only
|
"Serve Only" refers to events in which alcohol will be served free of charge to the event participants. The sponsoring department or event sponsor/host pays for the alcohol using non-University funds or a third party covers the invoice. Contributions by the St. Cloud State University Foundation or a business should be separate transactions in which event guests do not participate.

Sign
|
A billboard or placard displayed for the purpose of promoting events or activities or to convey a message or information of any type.
|
Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS or Drone)
|
A small unmanned aircraft/drone weighing less than 55 pounds and its associated elements (including communication links and the components that control the small unmanned aircraft) that are required for the safe and efficient operation of the small unmanned aircraft in the national airspace system.
|
Smudging
|
Smudging is the use of smoke (from an organic source such as sage, sweet grass, cedar, or amber) in spiritual, religious, prayer, or faith practices.
|
Social Media Platform
|
An application that enables a user to create and share content or participate in social networking.
|
Sponsor
|
The St. Cloud State University employee responsible for coordinating or being in charge of the volunteer program, project, or event.
|
Student
|
All Persons or group of persons who:
- Are enrolled in one or more courses, either credit or non-credit, through a college or university; or
- Withdraw, transfer, or graduate after an alleged violation of the code of student conduct; or
- Are not officially enrolled for a particular term but who have a continuing relationship with the college or university; or
- Have been notified of their acceptance for admission or have initiated the process of application for admission or financial aid; or
- Are not college or university employees and are not enrolled in the institution but live in a college or university owned or controlled residence hall.
Active Student:
Criteria 1:
- A degree-seeking student who has completed the enrollment process and has been admitted into the University, an undergraduate major or a graduate program of study; or
- A degree-seeking student who has completed the enrollment process and has not yet been admitted into the University, and undergraduate major or a graduate program of study; or
- A student seeking a graduate certificate
Criteria 2:
The student must have registered into and successfully completed at least one credit in a semester in the previous two years.
A student who fulfills Criteria 1, will cease to be an active student at the University if they do not register for and successfully complete at least one credit in a semester within two years, will be administratively removed from the University and be categorized as inactive.
The credits that the student accumulates as an active student will not expire upon becoming an inactive student, unless the student has been admitted to a graduate program, refer to the Graduate Student Handbook for the program completion timeframe guidelines.
Graduate Studies at SCSU has procedures for an admitted student to request a leave or absence, please see the Graduate Student Handbook for information on that process.
An inactive student intending to return to the University will not have to reapply for admission to the University, but will need to reapply for admission into a current program of study.

Student Complaint Review Committee
|
A panel that will address each individual complaint. Each Committee will consist of two (2) faculty and one (1) student representative from the Student Complaint Review Pool. The dean or supervisor will determine the participants of each Student Complaint Review Committee and designate one faculty member to serve as chair of the committee. Members of the academic department or sport team from which the complaint originated cannot serve on the Student Complaint Committee.

Student Complaint Review Pool
|
A body appointed annually by the dean or supervisor, no later than 15 duty days from the start of the academic year, whose members will review student complaints. The Student Complaint Review Pool shall be comprised of one (1) faculty representative of each department within a college or school and five (5) student representatives. For departments outside of colleges and schools, two faculty members will be appointed.

Student With a Disability
|
An admitted or enrolled student who meets the definition of an individual with a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act and includes a student with an intellectual disability as defined in Code of Federal Regulations, title 34, section 668.231, who is admitted or enrolled in a comprehensive transition and postsecondary program.
|
Substantial Risk
|
Defined as the high probability of harm or threats of harm to the health, safety, well-being and/or property rights of others, and not just a slightly increased, speculative or remote risk of such harm.
|
System
|
The Colleges and Universities of Minnesota State.
|
Tech Suite
|
A basic suite of technology services that is provided to faculty and staff, and may be provided to a volunteer upon request by a sponsoring department or program. The suite includes, but is not limited to, an email client, file storage space, an online learning management platform, a virtual lab, work station access, and wireless internet.
|
Telework location
|
An approved worksite, different from the permanent/principal work location, in which an employee is authorized to conduct telework. In most cases, the telework location will be an employee’s home.
|
Telework schedule and acknowledgement form
|
A document identifying the employee’s expected telework schedule and in which the employee acknowledges the requirements of the telework arrangement.
|
Teleworker
|
An employee who has an agreed-upon schedule during which they are expected to work at a telework location rather than their permanent/principal work location.
|
Teleworking
|
A work flexibility arrangement under which an employee performs the duties and responsibilities of such employee's position, and other authorized activities, from an approved worksite other than the location from which the employee would otherwise work. (From the Telework Enhancement Act of 2010)

Total Direct Cost
|
All costs that can be accurately identified and assigned with a particular sponsored project.
|
Total Project Cost
|
The total allowable direct and indirect costs incurred by the institution to carry out an approved project or activity.
|
Transfer
|
The evaluation of course(s) and credit(s) awarded by a college, university, or other education provider and the application of them toward an academic program and/or degree requirements at a college or university.
|
Transfer Appeal
|
A documented request submitted by a student for review of transfer decisions regarding how courses or credits were or were not accepted for transfer to meet graduation, program/major requirements or electives.
|
Transfer Pathways
|
Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), and Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) degrees that transfer to designated baccalaureate degree programs at Minnesota State universities.
|
Transferology
|
A web resource that provides students with course equivalency and course relationship information, and identifies how courses transfer to specific programs and majors at colleges and universities.
|
Travel Status
|
The period from departure until return to campus by students who have obtained travel authorization through the appropriate university representative for a university student event.
|
Trespass
|
Entering on property owned or controlled by St. Cloud State University when restricted from such property; or contacting or being near another person on property owned or controlled by St. Cloud State University when restricted from such contact or proximity.

Underground Utilities
|
Underground utilities, sometimes referred to as "facilities," means an underground line, facility, system, and its appurtenances used to produce, store, convey, transmit, or distribute communications, data, electricity, power, heat, gas, oil, petroleum products, water including storm water, steam, sewage, and other similar substances.

|
All land, buildings, facilities, parking lots and other property in the possession of, owned, rented, leased, maintained, or controlled by St. Cloud State University. The term Campus may be used interchangeably with University Property.

University Web Team
|
A cross-departmental team consisting of University Communications and ITS staff, responsible for developing and enforcing web standards and overseeing the development of the St. Cloud State web environment.

Vendor
|
Any person, not an employee, student or contract employee, who provides sales and/or services to St. Cloud State University.

Verification of Qualifications
|
reviewing and analyzing background information and asserted qualifications of applicants.

Visitor
|
Any individual other than a student, employee, construction employee, contract employee, affiliate, emeriti, or vendor who is on University Property.

Withdrawal
|
Withdrawing from a course after the free add/drop period but prior to the withdrawal deadline results in a grade of “W” appearing on the transcript, which impacts credit completion rate but does not impact Grade Point Average (GPA); students are potentially financially responsible for the course (please see withdrawal schedule information online).
